Interested in learning more about DMR, but would like to talk to someone first? Have a new DMR radio and want to learn more about using it? Then join us for a coffee (or a cola) and lots of DMR conversation during DMR Newbies Night! We’ll have lots of DMR radios on hand to help folks learn about this new digital mode that is catching on quickly within the ham radio community.

DMR: VA3XPR – 442.3375 MHz, Local talkgroup (TG2)
FM: SIMPLEX – 446.0000 MHz

About Don Trynor, VA3XFT

Don is a 16-year veteran of the telecommunications industry and a licensed Canadian ham radio operator since 1988. He is passionate about VHF/UHF repeater communications, especially using digital modes and he has owned and operated a number of ham radio repeater installations over the years, including ones in both the provinces of Ontario (VE3/VA3) and New Brunswick (VE9). In addition to ham radio, Don enjoys traveling, hiking, kayaking, biking and astronomy.
